Hey, I’m Emma!

A Little About Me!

Check out my Resume

Hi! I’m Emma Waggoner, a recent graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and Cherokee Nation citizen. While at UCO, I was named a 2025 GDUSA Student to Watch, interned with BIPOC Design History, and spent two semesters in Inktank, a semi-professional design studio, where I gained experience in client communication, project management, and expanding design systems. Before UCO, I served as a student ambassador for Western Oklahoma State College, giving campus tours, recruiting students, and strengthening my public speaking skills.

Now a designer with BIPOC Design History, I’ve built professional experience in research, branding, and course development, particularly on Native design history. I significantly contributed to (re)Creating Turtle Island: Native American Design Through Remembered History, a lecture series featuring 10 Indigenous designers and artists, where I developed skills in communication, systems-thinking, and course facilitation.

I’ve also been recognized with awards at both local and national levels for work in package design, brand systems, layout design, and more. As an outgoing, bold, and collaborative designer, I thrive on pushing creative boundaries and expanding my skill set. I look forward to hearing from you!
